About David
David Stephen D'Ambrosio is Technical Director of The Scottish Shutter Company and has been a director of the business since 2014. He is the Immediate Past President of the British Blind and Shutter Association, the highest office in the UK blind and shutter industry.
David's focus is solar shading: understanding how heat and light move through a building, and matching the right shading solution to each individual window. That work spans external solar shading, interior window shutters, and the full range of blinds. Every recommendation starts with the window itself, its aspect, its glazing, and how the room is used.
Through his BBSA work, David is closely involved in product standards, product characteristics, and child safety regulations for window coverings. The Scottish Shutter Company was established in 1987 and today has Design Studios in Dundee and Edinburgh.
